Lead contractor and owner of CK Lights, Connie, has gained her experience employed both full time and as an independent since 2016. She has worked with a variety of A/V companies in many states including California, Oregon and Maine.
From her audio visual beginnings in the theater at the University of Oregon, she has worked her way into gaining the knowledge that she needs to provide the best quality of work for any sized event, from small dance companies performing in a studio, to large multiple day corporate summit events. She has been involved in every aspect of production, from design and setup to programming and post-production work.
You can count on her to be there whenever you need for on-site troubleshooting during the event for worst case scenarios as well as designing every aspect of decor and lighting for your event day!
Beginning as a technician for Oregon Contemporary Theater, Connie graduated from University of Oregon and immediately landed a long lasting job at West Coast Event Productions which helped her pave her way through her career goals. She proved her skills and capabilities in design as she took on more responsibility with pre-production meetings for clients involving budgeting and creating production schedules, pull lists and becoming a crux of support for on-site management. She began to work as an independent contractor on the side, with the opportunity to work for dance companies and for large clients such as Nike. She has become a well respected name within a physically and technically challenging industry.
As a leader of her team at West Coast Events, Connie became skilled at deciphering technical documents. She provides a powerful set of standards to get the best work done efficiently to ensure all tech was ready for rehearsals and more importantly show time. Over the four years of working there, she became in integral part of the team and continued to study outside of work to grow her capabilities. Now, her career goals push her to expand her services to provide more complete decor and lighting design for any sized event, big or small.
